The Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) offers an opportunity that can help you turn your professional experience into a recognized bachelor’s degree through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
If you have spent years building skills and expertise in your field, ETEEAP may allow you to earn a college degree without starting over from the beginning. Your work experience, training, certifications, and professional achievements can be assessed and credited toward a degree program.
What is T.I.P. ETEEAP?
The T.I.P. Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) recognizes relevant learning acquired through employment, training programs, seminars, and other workplace experiences.
The program is designed to help qualified individuals complete a bachelor’s degree by evaluating the knowledge and competencies they have gained outside the traditional classroom.
T.I.P. aims to contribute to the development of globally competitive professionals while maintaining the institution’s quality standards and core values.

Qualified applicants may pursue the following degree programs:

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (Quezon City Campus only)
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
College of Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
College of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in:
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Financial Management
- Human Resources Management
- Marketing Management
Who Can Apply?
T.I.P. ETEEAP is open to various groups of working professionals, including:
- Former T.I.P. students who stopped studying and are now employed
- Undergraduate students from other schools who were unable to finish their degrees
- Working professionals seeking a second bachelor’s degree
- Employees of T.I.P. industry partners
- Employees of private companies and business establishments
- Employees of local government units (LGUs)
- Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
- Other qualified applicants with relevant work experience
ETEEAP Qualifications
To qualify for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Filipino citizen
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Must have accumulated at least five (5) years of work experience related to the degree being applied for
- Must possess any of the following:
- High School Diploma
- PEPT Certification
- Alternative Learning System (ALS) Certification indicating qualification to enter first-year college
Admission Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
Application Documents
- Accomplished ETEEAP Application Form
- Accomplished Preliminary Assessment Form
- Recent 1×1 ID Picture
- Supporting documents such as:
- Training certificates
- Awards
- Recognitions
- Professional achievements
Academic Records
- Transcript of Records (TOR)
- Diploma
- Form 137 or Form 138, as applicable
Employment and Personal Documents
- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Statement of Ownership and Authenticity of Credentials
- Endorsement Letter from current or most recent employer
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Barangay Clearance, NBI Clearance, or Passport
- Marriage Certificate (for married women)
Additional Evidence of Competency
Applicants must also provide evidence demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and competencies relevant to the degree program they are applying for. Additional assessment requirements will be discussed during the application process.
T.I.P. ETEEAP Assessment Process
The evaluation process involves several stages to determine the applicant’s competency and eligibility for degree equivalency.
Step 1: Submission of Application
The applicant submits the accomplished application forms and supporting documents.
Step 2: Initial Evaluation
ETEEAP staff reviews the submitted documents to verify completeness.
Step 3: Competency Assessment
The applicant’s credentials are forwarded to qualified assessors for evaluation.
Step 4: Department Endorsement
The Chair and Dean endorse the competency evaluation results and certificate of competency.
Step 5: Recommendation to the VPAA
The ETEEAP Head recommends the evaluation results to the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA).
Step 6: Approval
The VPAA reviews and approves the competency evaluation results.
Step 7: Completion of Enrichment Courses
Applicants complete any required enrichment courses or learning packages recommended by the assessors.
Step 8: Final Evaluation
The assessor submits the final evaluation results together with the certificate of competency.
ETEEAP Fees
The following fees currently apply:
- Application Fee: PHP 2,000
- Competency Testing Fee: To be determined upon approval of the application
- Other fees may apply depending on the assessment and degree program
